Those who nurture an idea within their minds may form groups, picking birds of the same feather if needed from different specializations, semesters or institutions and preferably guided by a member of the Faculty. Finalists of the Innovation Challenge are provided free accommodation, food and travel money for attending the final event at Amal Jyothi College of Engineering from wherever they are coming. TT contestants pay no fees for registration or for any other purpose. Attractive prizes are given away with trophies and certificates. There will also be a special prize for best all women team and many consolation prizes to good entries.

All entries are scrutinized by an eminent panel of judges on a 3-phase method. In the 1st phase the panel will evaluate the concept note submitted by the participants upon enrolment and select the best entries considering the idea’s innovation, newness, practicality, need for such innovation and the benefit to the society and its commercial potential. These selected entries will be then asked to design and prepare prototypes. The final selections of about 30 entries from the second phase will be invited to Amal Jyothi College of Engineering to exhibit their products at the TechTop Summit finale and the judges, leading industry experts and public will vote for the best entries to be awarded.
