The country’s pioneering Innovation Contest for engineering students – TechTop National Innovation Challenge is back again! And this time it will be held at Tamil Nadu hosted by – Kalasalingam Academy of Research & Education from 14-15 July 2018.

Innovative project ideas from student teams of recognized engineering colleges across the country are invited. The last date to receive online applications is extended to 5th March 2018. The online application form can be accessed at www.techtop.org. The most innovative project at the Innovation Summit that addresses an important concern of the society and chosen by an expert jury will win the Rs. One Lakh TechTop cash award. The second and third prizes respectively are Rs.50,000 and Rs.30,000. A cash prize of Rs. 20,000 will be awarded to the best innovation from All Women Teams. There are two more Rs. 20,000 prizes to be won.
TechTop Innovation Summit by TechTop Charitable Trust for last twelve years had organized in addition to the annual Innovation Challenges, Innovation Boot Camps and Workshops in association with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA.

This year Kalasalingam Academy of Research & Education will also be the venue for the 13th National Innovation Workshop from 8-15 July 2018 where the participants of the workshop will get the opportunity to test their mettle in design thinking and fabricating. The workshop will take the students through the process of identifying an issue or problem, evaluating opportunities, ideation of solutions, fabrication of proof of concept, developing business strategy, and also pitching ideas to decision makers.

20 June 2018 : Announcing the teams invited to the final presentation and demonstration of models before the judging panel
13 July 2018 : Reporting of the teams at the venue
14 – 15 July 2018 : Final Contest
